Riegel am Kaiserstuhl Founded by the nonprofit messmer foundation the kunsthalle messmer was opened in June 2009 in Riegel am Kaiserstuhl, close to Freiburg. In the exceptional setting of a more than 130 years old brewery castle at the confluence of Dreisam, Elz and Glotter works of classic modern and contemporary art find an unique surrounding. About 900m² of exhibition space and a 850m² large sculpture garden host the art.
